Behavior Expectations:
Students are expected to follow the PRIDE Rules throughout the day:

Level System:
All students follow a level system within 2nd grade. Students start out on Level 3 and can move to Levels 1 or 2 for inappropriate behaviors or to Level 4 for exceeding expectations. Students can also earn their way back to Level 3 by following the PRIDE Rules listed above.
Level 4: Student goes above and beyond to show respect to peers and adults, follows the P.R.I.D.E. expectations, and completes assignments with care and focus. Possible consequences include being a classroom helper, walking to restroom by self, ability to earn caught-ya cards, ability to earn a ticket into the Fantastic Four drawing, extra rewards, and homeroom reward time of games.
Level 3: Student is respectful, follows directions at first request, and stays on task to complete assignments. Possible consequences include being a classroom helper, walking to restroom by self, ability to earn caught-ya cards, and homeroom reward time of games.
Level 2: Student has made a poor choice and/or has lost two tickets. Possible consequences include walking to restroom by self, participating in 3 minutes of community service, homeroom reward time of finishing work, reading, or drawing
Level 1: Student has make an unsafe choice, a disrespectful choice, and/or has lost 4 tickets. Possible consequences include sitting by adult at assemblies, walking to restroom with an adult, participating in 5 minutes of community service, Think Sheet, and homeroom reward time of behavior sheet.
Tracking sheets are used to help students keep track of their behaviors as needed. Students earn tally marks for following the pride rules and then earn rewards based on how many tallies are earned.

We use the following schedule Monday - Thursday and will rotate for literacy and math classes based on academic level:
8:55 - Students can enter the classroom
9:00 - Homeroom
9:20 - Language
9:45 - Recess
10:05 - Language
10:45 - Lunch
11:18 - Social Skills
11:48 - Language
12:35 - Core: Social Studies/Science
1:35 - Recess/Snack
1:55 - Math
2:55 - Homeroom
3:10 - Carpool
We use the following schedule on Friday and will rotate for literacy and math classes based on academic level:
8:55 - Students can enter the classroom
9:00 - Homeroom
9:15 - Language
10:05 - Math
10:41 - Recess
